BACKGROUND
Ritualist is “part witch shop, part plant shop, all magic.” They bring accessible, alternative, and ethical products for self care to customers ranging from witches and weirdos to plant lovers and gift givers.
Their brick and mortar shop in New Paltz, NY has evolved into both a popular witch and houseplant destination, while the former was their original focus.
They came to us seeking a new visual identity that would both accurately reflect their current and future vision for the brand, and help them grow their e-commerce shop and online community, and fulfill their powerful intention of making witch practices and self care an easy part of daily life.
OUR APPROACH
We created a warm and uplifting identity system that instantly sets them apart from the exclusive and dark occult look of their competitors, including a custom, handcrafted logo suite, a bright and welcoming color palette and supporting typography.
Inspired by mysticism, mother nature, the cosmos, portals, windows, altars, tarot cards, self care, and Ritualist’s unique position as both a plant and witch shop, making both of their core offerings welcoming and accessible to all.
