Hey, thanks for stopping by! My name is Sophie Wedd. I'm the owner of Sophie Wedd Design, DBA.

This blog is meant to be a space for sharing news and updates from my studio with you, and for giving a little insight into my process, my thoughts and my inspiration, as I navigate the world of working for myself as a remote Graphic Designer.

I've been in business since 2013, and going into 2016 I'm very grateful and happy to say that my lovely, growing roster of clients have made my dream of owning my own business a reality. Thank you to all of my collaborators, employers and clients!

In recent news, I'm excited to see a collage I created for the promotion of a new documentary called Queer City some time ago, being put to use now, as Queer City is now being shown at film festivals, and getting out there! The trailer (and the collage) can be viewed below:

QUEER CITY follows the lives of a highly diverse group of LGBTQ individuals, offering a vivid mosaic of queer American life today. http://www.queercitymovie.com

The collage I created highlights the subjects of the documentary and others, and visually it makes up a fabric of interwoven stories, or at least I hope it does! It was a painstakingly long process, of cutting out and layering, using my Wacom digital tablet. It was so rewarding when it all came together in the end!

Thanks for reading, I hope to see you here again!

Later gators,
Sophie
